TMW Kickoff

tmwagency.github.io/kickoff

Kickoff is a robust, adaptable and unopinionated front-end framework that is great starting point for any web site; we use for every project at TMW.

The framework includes a SASS-based, CSS framework (with all the usual resets and mixins), a responsive grid system; beautiful typographic styles; javascript plugins, utilities and a great set of boilerplates for most eventualities. This means that our devs can get up and running as quickly as possible and not have to worry about this tedious initial step.

The Bar

uk.thebar.com

theBar.com is a popular US cocktail resource; I was a member of the team who created the Western Europe version of this already popular site.

From UX to performance, every aspect of the site was improved and carefully considered. I created a special asset font for the site, this creates crisp, hiDpi friendly icons that look great at any resolution.

Lynx Apollo Vote Boosters

lsa.lynxeffect.com/booster/

Lynx is currently (Jan 2013) running a worldwide competition to send someone into space - the entrant with the most votes wins - they asked TMW to create a microsite to help entrants promote themselves and garner more votes.

We built a responsive, single-page app that allows entrants to create and share a poster or choose from one of many prewritten status messages. The site is interesting because it positions the user in space and changes the viewport on each sub-page. As well as being project lead, I created the moving page navigation element and the more complex responsive features.

Brother Printers

campaigns.brother.co.uk

Brother Printers asked TMW to create a microsite for the various printer ranges. Each page of this site is devoted to one range and uses campaign assets to give a more consistent look and feel across media.

I worked closely with the designer, Dawn Jenner, to create an engaging and appealing experience that promoted each product's features and enabled customers to make a more informed decision.

Knorr Mobile

I developed a simple, hiDPI ready, site as a counterpart to their desktop site that, that focused on performance and

DrinkIQ

calculator.drinkiq.com

This app, developed for DrinkIQ, determines how many calories and units of alcohol you might have consumed.

It is a fully responsive site that features two very different layouts at each of the main breakpoints. Javascript templating by Handlebars is used to populate the site's content.

Novalux Energy website

novaluxenergy.com

Novalux's visual identity helped form the basis for their website design. I also designed the site and developed it using the ExpressionEngine CMS. It makes use of some great web fonts (served from Fontdeck), it is set in Proxima Nova and Clarendon.

Datasift UI & iconography

datasift.com

DataSift is the leading platform for building applications with insights derived from the most popular social networks and news sources. NEVERBLAND were asked to create a WYSIWYG editor for customers to more easily create 'streams' within their system.

I designed a huge library of icons and the UI for the WYSIWYG editor itself. I left NEVERBLAND half-way through this project so what you see now is an updated version of the work that I did.

Colette

Pitch

Colette is a department store based in Paris. NEVERBLAND were asked to pitch for a redesign of their existing ecommerce offering.

I produced this design for the home page, you can see three states: normal, navigation hovered and page content hovered. Unfortunately our ideas were not chosen and at time of writing, Colette still have not redesigned their site.

Shift 4

shift-4.co.uk

Shift 4 are a broadcast facility company for film and TV in the UK. NEVERBLAND were asked to revamp and extend their existing site. We added a full equipment listing, with wishlist (think shopping list) feature; a blog and various other sections that overall helped customers engage with the company.

I designed & developed the front-end for this project making it fully responsive & adaptable to any device that uses it.
